Running Out of Titles, Don't Know How to Feel About It

Hey y'all! I'm back with yet another blog. This week, I decided to revert back to some research that is more on the historical side of the spectrum of my research. It was pretty gruesome, to say the least. I primarily focused on the research of actual human sacrifices that happened in ancient civilizations. I'm also sort of relieved that I did not stumble upon any modern day human sacrificial ceremonies, because that would be terrifying. When I thought of human sacrifice, I most thought about tribes, and people who lived in communities of that sort, but my research proved me wrong. Almost all ancient civilizations had some type of human sacrifice ceremonies: Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, Mayan civilizations, hell, there were even some remains that point to human sacrifice at Stonehenge.

Oh yeah, if you read my blue man/ chicken blogs from a couple weeks back, I actually came across an article of actual occurrences like the one in Apocalypto. It was not necessarily as dramatic as the movie makes out, but the sacrifices were painted blue and had their hearts ripped out while still alive. Still trying to process that one.

Hope you guys enjoyed this week's blog. And for the ones who've been here since day one, you a real one (yeah, Professor, that means you)! See you next week.
