I Can't Seem to Get That Song by Big Sean out of my Head
Arch Girl here, back with another post. Also, I hope you all enjoyed your Valentine's Day. :)
Any who, this week was filled with some insightful takes on what sacrifice meant to some people I talked to. Some had a lot to say, others... eh, not too much. All interviewees were close in age to me, so around 19-20 years old, and they were all female. Though some felt as though the sacrifices they made were small/insignificant, it still had some type of impact on their lives. They all, in a way, came to a similar conclusion: sacrifice can be inevitable, and it can be life changing/ life altering.
Since I haven't really worked out the kinks yet on how to make a type of voice memo collage to add to the blog, I'll add some quotes from some of the interviewees...
"Sacrifices in your life help shape the person you are. It's putting your self out of your comfort zone; it's doing something that's not your norm."
"Whatever you don't get from it {sacrifice}, you gain some knowledge, insight..."
"A sacrifice is a something you offer up: no matter if your giving it up to God, to a human being, physical or non-physical."
"Girl, I'm about to go to sleep, but...to me, sacrifice is something that you give up; it could be for a social purpose, or for someone..."
I do plan on interviewing more people, older people, and some male insight on the topic at hand. Until then...Arch Girl signing out.
Oh yeah! My gif. This is my forever mood when the song Sacrifices by Big Sean pops into my head:
