Another Week, Another Blog

It's the Arch Girl, back again with another blog. This week's research was kind of, how you say, blah. I sort of hit a block on what I was actually looking for. I did however come across this very interesting short story titled, The Gay Old Dog by Edna Ferber. Unlike most of the other stories I came across, this one's theme did not focus on sacrifice between lovers, but one much greater: a mother's dying wish, that her son basically put his life on hold for his sisters' and ended up old and lonely.

I found this intriguing because this was one of the first stories that I came across that talked about sacrifice in a different lime light. This was a perfect find that'll help me to some modern day research with actual people I encounter.

Keep in mind: What does sacrifice mean to you?

Signing off...and see you next week!
