Writer's Block is a B*$%!

Hey guys...I'm back with another blog. The blog this week is just to update you guys on my short story that goes along with my research. I feel like I've never mention the fact that I am researching this topic for a short story and a research paper. So yeah, I'm writing a short story! *this is where there would be applause/cheering* I have been having sort of a writer's block though. I would start with some really great ideas, then I would be like eh, this sucks. Then it would turn into me rereading all my feedback from my peers a kagillion times to me just staring at my computer for a couple hours. So yeah, that's how my last few couple of weeks been going for me. As usual, I'll sign off and this time, there's not going to be any quirky gif this week. *inserts sad face* I know, bummer. But see you guys next week!! The Arch Girl

I Hit the Mother Load...Sorta

What's up guys, it's Arch Girl with another post. Two weeks later, I know, I know, but you know, life happens. Research has been the same old, same old. I'm trying to hit the mother load of all research to do with sacrifice, because the whole lover sacrifice, tribal sacrifice, and family sacrifice theme is very prevalent and repetitive in my research findings. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing/reading things about it, but I want to find something else, some other type of sacrifice...even if it's not exactly that?? You know what I mean? However, I'm kind of confident about this research paper that's due at the end of this semester. Andddd, I have a couple ideas for what I want to do for the presentation that goes along with it. What are those ideas, you might ask? Well, just stick around and find out. XOXO The Arch Girl P.S. The gif below contains my motherload hitting dance lol

Hello lovely people! It is literally 4:04 am and I've been staring blankly at my computer screen trying to come up with words to type for this week's blog. Soooo, this week, I'm going to keep it short, sweet, and simple. I've been observing some modern-day sacrifices, big or small, in everyday life. It could be friends, family, a random guy walking through the quad...to me, I just feel as though everyone has experienced some type of sacrifice. So, I guess this week, I wanted to highlight some sacrifices that may seem insignificant to some... In college, many students make decisions, rather it be between going out to party vs. finishing that 7 page paper that you waited to do last minute. Either choice you choose, you would be either sacrificing your social life or your academic life. And, that's just a choice that has to be made realizing that both choice has consequences. I'm losing my train of thought, and I feel like this week is word vomit or whatever,...
